Provides the knowledge, confidence and legal documentation required to operate a marine VHF/DSC radio.

Content includes; radio etiquette, distress procedures, basic radio understanding, DSC and GMDSS information.  There is a short exam at the end of the day, successful candidates will become licensed radio operators hold the Short Range Certificate.

We are not able to run any VHF SRC courses this winter, however the Isle of Man Yacht Club in Port St Mary has two courses running, the first one is on 20th October.  Please contact Wendy Hill on 835646.
